FILMS OF THE HEART
I began filming weddings in 2020, but my interest in wedding videography stems back to my own wedding in 2018. I really wanted videography at my wedding, but was stymied by the fact that I couldn’t find anyone to film a nice highlight reel for anywhere close to our budget. And my situation is hardly unique because let’s face it: Most young couples don’t have huge wedding budgets to work with.
So when I had a career pivot from print journalism to videography, I decided I would offer wedding films on the side to couples who were just like me - who wanted videography for their special day but needed it at an affordable price. This is something I care about deeply; filming weddings is not something I do on a full-time basis and I don’t feel the pressure to charge an arm and a leg for videography services. That being said, I like to film with couples who place value on videography and see it as a priority for their wedding day.
